MTM is proud to support a new campaign that’s calling on businesses in the East Midlands and South Yorkshire to donate personal protective equipment (PPE) to support NHS staff dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.

MTM’s Chesterfield-based factory will be used as a local drop off point for businesses to donate any spare PPE to help frontline workers of the NHS.

Any unused PPE will be accepted; however, we’re particularly calling on those in the engineering, manufacturing and construction sectors to help out.

We understand that there is a specific need for:
  • Any fluid resistant surgical masks including, although not exclusively, FFP2 or FFP3 rated (the rating is marked on each mask)
  • Nitrile gloves
  • Visors or goggles
  • Disposable aprons or overalls

To avoid contact and maintain social distancing, those wishing to make a donation can book a drop off slot and deliver their donations, at an allocated time, without coming into contact with anyone.

We will then load up and, at the end of each day, deliver the equipment to the designated NHS point of contact.

Ian Greenaway, MTM Managing Director, said: “Our NHS desperately needs this PPE and, as a business community, we have a duty to get it to them.

The team at MTM is incredibly proud to be a local #PPE4NHS drop-off point for the Chesterfield area – it’s the least we can do to support those at the very heart of the fight against Coronavirus. Please donate any PPE equipment you can.”

The #PPE4NHS campaign was launched by Martin Rigley MBE, Managing Director of Lindhurst Engineering Ltd.
